STORY-TELLING UNIT: Casting and Re-locating

Chatham Waterfront Bus Station
I've been busy all week trying to figure out where my locations will be, as filming in an airport is not an option at the moment cause I need a special allowance to film there. However, I've thought of filming at the Chatham Waterfront Bus Station  instead of an airport, as it's also a location where journeys start and finish and using the UCA Rochester student bar for my cafe scene.

For my characters, I decided not to cast professional actors because first of all I couldn't afford to pay them and second of all I would spend most of my time casting them, so I tried to find my characters through the people I know here. After a long time thinking about who would best suit playing my characters, I decided that Ruby Rogers would be great being Isabelle, Vic Falcucci as Trav/Travis and Mark Cooper as Isabelle's boyfriend, David.

My only problem is that filming in my chosen locations will be a challenge as both of my locations are busy and often very noisy and so I'll have to keep an extra eye on my sound when I film.
Also, filming with my friends might be difficult too, as I know them too well and might get carried away and not get much work done, whereas if I was working with actual actors I would keep my filming days more professional and get my filming done more quickly.

Hopefully, my filming days will go as planned and I hope I don't have many problems during the whole process.
Hope you enjoyed reading my little post, and I promise I'll be keep you updated on my filming days and how it all turns out.
Yours,
I.
