I personally love music, so when trying to decide on what type of music would best suit my trailer, it was one of the most difficult decisions of the editing part of my trailer. Basically, I wanted my music to relate to my whole plot in a way and 'speak levels' when it's playing in the background.
Whilst searching for songs I started listing down songs that would possibly suit my trailer, so here they are:
-Flightless Bird, American Mouth (Wedding Version) by Iron & Wine
-Don't You Remember by Adele
-How to Save a Life by The Fray
-Landing In London by 3 Doors Down
-Fast Car by Tracy Chapman
…and many more that would make my post veeeeery long (so I better not list them- for now).
However, I finally decided that the song "How to Save a Life" by The Fray was the one that was closer to my story and conveys a particular environment whilst playing as background music in my trailer. The part of the lyrics that best describe my trailer's story is: "…where did I go wrong? I lost a friend, somewhere along the bitterness…".
So that's about it (for now), I finally found a song for my trailer and now it's time to make some mini-changes and fixes to my trailer.
Love you all!
Yours,
I.
