Tomorrow we've got a meeting with the people in charge of the Knitting for Charity and I'm just very interested in finding out how they came up with this idea of organising a knitting group and raising money for a new machine in the Cancer Department for breast cancer at the Medway Hospital, with a specific use that we are yet to find out more about during our meeting, tomorrow. We also want to find out about the purpose of knitting instead of doing something else, and if they had someone close to them that had breast cancer, which could be the inspiration behind the whole group or even the cause they chose to do it on.
A few questions that we would all like to ask Carroll, as well as the others, are:
- What do you do during the weekly meetings you have?- What do you discuss?
- What does the charity do? What's the cause it's supporting?
- What do you do in order to raise money?
- How will this help raise money, as well as, awareness to the community?
- Who's involved/knits? Why?
- Does someone have to be experienced to be part of this group?
- What are the outcomes/advantages (the women involved) get out of these weekly 'sessions'?
- Is knitting more popular lately?
- How will this charity help?
- Did someone inspire this?
- Questions about machine:
•What is it's function?
•What does it diagnose?
•Impact on hospital?
•Are there any other machines around the area?
- After this event will you raise money for another charity?
