After sitting down for hours brainstorming ideas and concepts that represent 'Freedom' (shown below), for our title sequence, Danny and I finally finished. With the ideas given to us by the other members of our group too through many discussions, we decided it would be a good idea to not make our title sequence too complicating but to make it more meaningful and minimal.
So we decided to use the video "The Dove" by Ed Braverman (2009), which is basically a one minute film of a dove flying across the screen in slow motion. But due to the limit of time we had for our films, we couldn't off course leave it at that length.
So we increased the speed of the video by 40% in Final Cut Pro, to have the duration of it at just about 6-7 seconds. But once we added the text, meaning our title, we weren't quite sure about it. And so we decided to rotate the video so instead of the dove flying from corner of the screen to the other, it would fly horizontally.
Overall, I think we made a great opening, though simple, its very effective towards our audience and, as planned, depicts a feeling of freedom.

I.
